Sometimes, resetting the PC may fail and throw out the error – “Unable to Reset PC. A required drive partition is missing.”

This error may be due to inactive or lost partitions, defective HDD or SDD, corrupted boot configurations, etc. It may occur in either Windows 8 or 10.

Solution 1. Using CHKDSK to Check the System Partition

Check Disk Utility or CHKDSK is a built-in utility on Windows that is capable of performing scans on hard disks. This may provide a solution for recovering drive partitions so you may reset your PC.
