Makes typing much easier
Gboard is the keyboard i use. When I hold the space bar as you said, nothing happens. I tried it in a few apps with same result ( messenger, messages, what's app)

Michael, if you feel comfortable downloading a new keyboard app, you can try GBoard or Swift Keyboard. They have this feature!
