eSIM, or electronic SIM card, is a new type of electronic chip that replaces a physical SIM card. This allows your phone to switch between networks.
This technology has been around for months now but it is only recently becoming popular in order to save space and because of the way it works.
The eSIM has been introduced by Apple in the iPhone X and XS, which will make it easier for users who travel or need a different phone number during the trip. Of course, this function is very similar to what we already know as dual SIM card.
